On Saturday, August 2nd, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Maven’s Moon Apothecary in White Settlement, Texas, invites you to join us for a very special Lughnasadh celebration and First Harvest ceremony.

Lughnasadh (pronounced LOO-nah-sah) is one of the eight Sabbats on the Wheel of the Year. It marks the beginning of the harvest season, a time to celebrate abundance, gratitude, and the turning of summer toward autumn.

Whether you are new to earth-centered traditions or a long-time practitioner, this event is open to everyone who wishes to step into sacred space and honor the rhythms of nature.

What Is Lughnasadh and Why Do We Celebrate?

Lughnasadh has been celebrated for centuries as the festival of the first fruits and grains. Traditionally, this was a time for baking bread from the first cut of wheat, holding games, and giving thanks for the blessings of the land.

Bring a small token of the season: a sprig of herbs, flowers, a loaf of bread, or a note of gratitude. These offerings will become part of a shared altar that honors abundance.

Ritual, Magic, and Blessing

Through symbolic ceremony, candlelight, and spoken words, we will honor the turning of the Wheel, release what no longer serves us, and invite in blessings for the months ahead.
